FIVE STEPS TO CONTROL ANTS

1) Correct identification

2) Locating nest

3) Baiting - often the most effective way to control some ant species.

4) Perimeter barrier treatment

5) Non-chemical control methods - these should be used when possible. Depending on the species involved, these may include removing food source, removal of plants attractive to ants, changing landscaping to discourage ants and/or plants attractive to aphids (plantlice), tree and shrub trimming, reducing moisture sources.
